We have sighted a video that captured the moment Soccer Intellectuals goalkeeper, Selina Abalansa was physically attacking a referee, Cynthia Anafo.
She was attacking the referee because her side had lost to Prisons Ladies in the ongoing Women’s Super Cup.
The incident reportedly happened on Monday, November 29 and in the video, the shot-stopper was seen pulling the referee to the ground after conceding a second goal.
Immediately she conceded the goal, she located the referee at the centre of the pitch and pounced on her and it took the intervention of players from both teams and other officials to resolve the situation.

After the video went viral, a social media user who was at the scene of the event also shared what he saw saying;
“Why are you people vilifying the young goalkeeper? She only went to approach the referee on a decision she felt wasn’t right and the referee rather held her neck pulling her down. Why are you changing the narrative when there is video for everyone to see?
Even after they were separated you can see the referee is still trying to go after the goalkeeper whilst the keeper isn’t showing aggression. Either stay neutral or say as you see but don’t change the narrative.”
