The World Health Organisation has warned that, with the speed at which Coronavirus is travelling, it may attack all the countries around the world soon as it doesn’t look like it’s going to stop any time soon.
Christian Lindmeier, a spokesman for WHO, revealed at a news briefing in Geneva:
‘The outbreak is getting bigger.
‘The scenario of the coronavirus reaching multiple countries, if not all countries around the world, is something we have been looking at and warning against since quite a while.’
Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO’s director-general, said:
‘This virus has pandemic potential. We are actually in a very delicate situation in which the outbreak can go in any direction based on how we handle it.’
The virus currently has no known cure and has already claimed close to 3,000 lives with China leading with the highest number of death which stands at 2885. A record of 57 countries are known to be affected with the virus, eg. Italy, Nigeria, Britain, USA, South Korea, Netherlands, Pakistan, Denmark etc.
