As a result, he went into hiding, but that didn’t stop the enraged residents from following him down to deal with him. He was captured and paraded through the market streets, holding the stolen item, dressed in a white singlet and shorts.
The owner of the “wele”, Cecilia Nkansah, told Kwasi Siaw of Adom News that this was not the first time she had been robbed.
“I realized my “wele” had been stolen again while preparing to go to the market but I ignored as I always do only for me to later receive a call that the thief has been apprehended,” she said.
She claimed she would have beaten the culprit to a pulp if it hadn’t been for the residents’ prompt intervention, who opted to hand him over to the police. Isaac, the suspect was transported to the Nkawkaw Police Station for questioning.
