Fast rising Ghanaian actress, Efia Odo who is unofficially challenging Ebony and Moesha Boduong for the raunchiest Ghanaian celeb, has criticized Ghanaians for their hypocritical attitude. The young lady lamented that Ghanaians praise Beyonce and other female Hollywood stars but sees everything wrong with her sense of fashion.
She emphasized that Beyonce shows more flesh than she does but they always hold her in high esteem. Efia Odo said her sekzy photos on social media isn’t for sekzual purposes but wants to look good. In an interview with Zylonfon FM, she said:
Well social media is not like I’m getting paid but just following and just a nice feeling. I want to make money from social media. I left Ghana when I was 5.
My whole attitude, my whole persona, I’m a New Yorker and my ways of thinking isn’t like Ghanaians and my way of dressing… I’m a free spirit so how I dress isn’t for sekzual purposes, I like to look good. People outside like me, but Ghanaians will say I’m looking for attention but I’m not, this is how I am. It’s disgusting, when Beyonce does a photoshoot like mine, my people will praise her highly and re-post her pictures.
When I do something like what Beyonce will do, I’ll will be tagged ‘Ashawo’, she’s looking for attention, the hypocrisy is too much. So my social media is not me looking for attention and it hasn’t done anything for me.
Producers will message me from Nigeria that they want to work with me and we exchange numbers but it turns out to be proposal that I love you, I like you but I tell them don’t like me, don’t love me, I’m a professional if you want to work with me please discuss business and if it’s anything else please delete my number.
I’ve not regretted for anything I post on Social Media because that is how I am in real life.”
