Defeated Parliamentary aspirant, Victoria Hammah has claimed that anyone who succeeds in politics is very greedy and ignorant.
This comes after she was woefully defeated for the third time in her bid to get to parliament for constituents of Kintampo North.
The former TV personality in a post after her defeat indicated that she would never be greedy just to be in Parliament.
“In Africa, politics strives on ignorance and greed and that does not in any way represent God. MP is a service, well, at least for me. And I vowed never to use money to robe my people of their dignity. I campaigned on a message hoping to inspire delegates to awaken in them a higher consciousness towards transformational change.
Elections in Ghana is so easy. Just make sure you are the highest bidder on the Election Day and you will surely win. I couldn’t do so, despite that I am the most resourceful of the candidates; I have chosen the path of the Sanatana Dharma and I couldn’t betray it,” she said.
However, she claimed she was defeated because she refused to speak the language which they (the delegates) understand best by giving out money to them.
“I didn’t win to represent my people of Kintampo North Constituency. Actually, I was rejected because my numbers were humiliating. Yet I feel very Victorious because I campaigned on Truth!”, she said.
Results from her elections showed that she came last out of three persons with only a consoling 65 votes whereas John Kwame Kumah got 532 votes with his closest contender, Richard Kwadwo Kombat, obtaining 486.
