Adebayor Shown Straight Red Card Over 'Jackie Chan' Tackle At New Club (WATCH VIDEO)

Togolese International Footballer, Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor was sent off outrightly during a League game in Paraguay.

Adebayor was shown the red-card after making a ‘Jackie Chan challenge’ on the pitch at the 73^rd minute when his side Olimpia Asuncion clashed Defensa y Justicia in the Copa Libertadores.

The former Tottenham star, in a tackle against his opponent, could control himself in an aerial ball challenge which resulted in him pull off as karate-style of tackle.

Defensa’s Enzo Coacci appeared to have been hit by Adebayor’s boot, but another camera angle showed that his boot had touched the shoulder.

After the game, Adebayor tweeted: “Tough game today! What a great team spirit, and what a win boys. Sad to leave the pitch early on a Jackie Chan challenge. “It was never my intention to hurt my opponent, and I am glad he is okay.”
