Sierra Leone denied the elephants of Ivory Coast a solid three points in their second Group state game at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2021 in Douala, Cameroon after scoring a late equalizer.
The elephants were leading by 2 goals to 1 till the dying minutes of the game when their goalkeeper, Badra Sangare made a goalkeeping error that gave the opponent, Alhadji Kamara to gently tap the ball in.
A video captures the moment the goalkeeper refused to the ball which was already heading outside the post go and his attempt to catch the ball, lost grip following the fall to the ground.
His team had to suffer dearly for the error he solely committed. Nigerians have reacted to the inci dent and most blamed it on the bad pitch.
