The former captain of the Ivorian senior national soccer team, Didier Drogba has been inducted into the premier league hall of fame.

The African football legend was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the most exciting league in the world a few hours ago and this follows his exploits with the English premier league club, Chelsea.

He was inducted together with players like Vincent Kompany, Paul Scholes, Patrick Viera, Peter Schmeichel, Ian Wright, Wayne Rooney, and Sergio Aguero.

In other news, England-based football club, Manchester United now has a new coach.

The new coach is in the person of the former manager of the Dutch football team, Ajax Amsterdam and this was confirmed in a recent statement released today.

In the statement, John Murtough who is the Football Director of the club said:

“During the past four years at Ajax, Erik has proved himself to be one of the most exciting and successful coaches in Europe, renowned for his team’s attractive, attacking football and commitment to youth.

In our conversations with Erik leading up to this appointment, we were deeply impressed with his long-term vision for returning Manchester United to the level we want to be competing at, and his drive and determination to achieve that.

We wish Erik the best of luck as he focuses on achieving a successful end to the season at Ajax and look forward to welcoming him to Manchester United this summer.”
