Eccentric Ghanaian musician, Wanlov da Kubolor has started an unofficial campaign to get all Africans shun underwear because of the hot temperature we have here.
According to the musician, the weather down here is simply too hot for us to be walking around in underwear.
Speaking to Yvonne Okoro on her popular Dinning with Cooks and Braggarts show, Wanluv dropped one of his usual comical statements, saying even the Queen of England used to bath once every six months because of the weather there.
He said
I have stopped wearing underwear. I don’t think we need it in this part of the world because it’s too hot. The Europeans wear them to contain smell and dirt. Even the Queen of England use to bath once every six months.
There’s much sense in what he’s saying but judging from how conservative we Africans are and the fact that Wanluv himself is not taken serious because of the kind of character he has built for himself over the years, we doubt if anybody will listen to him.
