About Al-Nassr

Zeid Bin Mutlaq Al-Ja’ba Al-Dewish Al-Mutairi founded Al Nassr in 1955. Training took place in an old playground west of Al-Fotah Garden in Gashlat Al-Shortah, where there was a small football field and a small room to store balls and shirts. Along with the Al-Ja’ba brothers, Ali and Issa Al-Owais were among the club’s early employees.

The club was an amateur club until 1960, when it was officially registered with the General Presidency of Youth Welfare. Abdul Rahman bin Saud Al Saud became the leader of Al Nassr at this time. Al Nassr began his career in the league’s second division.

In 1963, they were promoted to the first division. The club won four Saudi Premier League titles, six King’s Cups, three Crown Prince Cups, and three Federation Cups in the 1970s and 1980s.

The Saudi Golden Trio of Majed Abdullah, Fahd Al-Herafy, and Mohaisn Al-Jam’aan were instrumental in the team’s success.

The Arabic word for victory is al Nassr. There are clubs with the same name in Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, the UAE, and Libya, but the Saudi Arabian club was the first to use the name.

With yellow and blue colors, the club’s logo depicts a map of Arabia. Yellow represents the beautiful sand of the Arabian deserts, and blue represents the magnificent water that surrounds the Arabian Peninsula in the Arabian Sea, the Arabian Gulf, and the Red Sea.

The old logo was recently replaced by a more modern version, which is still heavily influenced by the old club logo. The new logo represents only the football team, whereas the old logo represents the entire club.
