American rapper Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, professionally known as Doja Cat, was born and raised in Tarzana, Los Angeles, California, the United States on October 21st, 1995 and is known for co-writing songs with stars like Megan Thee Stallion, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, Lil Nas X, and some others.

Doja Cat shot to fame when she released her album ‘Hot Pink’ in 2019 and was praised for the quality of the songs on it and especially how versatile the song was because of the humor and playfulness which created a lot of stars on social media. Doja Cat came into the music scene in 2012 but became more popular in 2019 with her Hot Pink album.

Doja Cat started releasing songs as a teenager on SoundCloud and she was signed to RCA Records at the age of 17 and released her debut EP in 2014. In mid-2015, Doja Cat was signed temporarily to the OGG label which belongs to OG Maco and released Monster in late 2016. Subsequently, she has released some amazing songs even though she has had her own ups and downs.

Doja Cat is very private with her personal life but was recently in a brief open relationship with Jawny until they got separated in February 2020 despite not coming out formally about her sexual orientation, Doja Cat has claimed that she can have sex with anybody and that can be literally translated into her being a bisexual.

Doja Cat even though hasn’t been in the music scene for long, has had her own share of criticism and public scrutiny as she has never for once given up on her unruly ways. Doja Cat has been stirring up trouble long before she went viral. Doja Cat has dominated all aspects of the news since she first went viral on TikTok and has broken the internet again which might probably damage her career.

Doja Cat has hinted that her forthcoming album could be influenced by 90s techno and has shared her interest in German rave culture, her album will be predominantly rap even though she hasn’t started making the album. Doja Cat’s latest album ‘Planet Her’ made it to number 2 on Billboard’s 200 albums chart. In May this year, she had to cancel all her 2022 live dates, shows, and tour with The Weeknd to recover from tonsil surgery and it’s nothing new that she’s suffering from nicotine addiction.

Doja Cat is said to not have siblings based on research but then has claimed that she and her brother (who is believed to be her twin brother) have also experienced harsh racism as they were some of the only mixed-race kids in their locality and always appreciative of the small unit she grew up around. Doja Cat has never stopped talking about her estranged relationship with her father Dumisani Dlamini, who’s a popular South African actor.

Doja Cat just like most ladies has publicly made her affection for Stranger Things Joseph Quinn known and even made a Twitter post about how she’s been crushing on him. Doja Cat has untimely announced her retirement from music after she was heavily criticized by fans in Paraguay after her show was canceled due to flooding.

Doja Cat is estimated to be worth $10 million as she earns about $40,000 a month and makes about $0.5 million in the year. Doja Cat seems to have a full life ahead of her but is allowing fame to get into her head now which is probably influencing her decision to quit music at the age of 25.
