Morte had a little part in the Spanish TV series Hospital Central to start his professional career as an actor. After that, he was cast in the starring role of Ray, a driver, in the TV series Planta 25, which ran from 2007 to 2008.
He debuted as a small-town doctor named Lucas Moliner in the popular drama El Secreto de Puente Viejo in 2014.

He opened up in an interview with a British Newspaper, The Observer several years after combatting the cancer and regaining his health that the situation always had him thinking he was going to lose his life or at least get his leg chopped off and that would mean the end of his career.
