Amanda Lemos Biography

Born on May 22, 1987, Lemos is known to have begun her professional mixed martial arts journey in the Brazilian regional circuit, notably competing in Jungle Fight. With an undefeated record of 5–0, she contended for the Jungle Fight Women’s Bantamweight Championship against Mayra Cantuária at Jungle Fight 85 on January 23, 2016. Their first encounter resulted in a majority draw, leading to a rematch at Jungle Fight 88 on June 25, 2016, where Lemos claimed the title via third-round knockout.

Lemos made her UFC debut on short notice, replacing Lina Länsberg, against Leslie Smith at UFC Fight Night: Nelson vs. Ponzinibbio on July 16, 2017, where she suffered a second-round knockout loss. Following this, she faced a suspension from USADA for two years due to testing positive for stanozolol and its metabolite in November 2017.

After serving her suspension, Lemos returned to the octagon in the strawweight division.
