Accra Academy has taken to social media to react to Achimota School’s denial of two Rastafarian students because of their hairstyle.

Earlier, a frustrated father identified as Ras Menkrabea took to Facebook to register his grievances after his son was denied in Achimota Secondary School because of his hairstyle.

He stressed the fact that if the law is against the expression of one’s culture in all aspects of his/her life. To him, Rastafarians are taught to embrace their culture and as such, they must cherish every part of it.

One of the best Secondary schools in Accra, Accra Academy has subtly shaded Achimota Secondary School in a post they made on Facebook.

In the post, it flaunted a Rastafarian student they admitted. They captioned that their school is of no discrimination and does not continue to reinforce colonial narratives.
