Ghana captain Andre Ayew returned to action for the first time since March with an impressive performance which saw him score and also assists a goal as Swansea secured a massive win against Middlesbrough in English Championship on Saturday.

Ayew’s goal came in the 34th minute when he converted a penalty to make it 3-0. This is after assisting Rhian Brewster to open the scoring.

The Liverpool loanee scored twice in three minutes as the Swans started off the game in blistering mode after just 20 minutes.

The win sends Swansea to seventh place, same on points as Preston and just a place below the promotion play offs.

Ayew has scored 13 goals and provided six assists in the second-tier league this season.
