A social media user on Twitter with the handle @bougie_blackie has made one of the most controversial statements on the micro-blogging site.
She took to the platform to advise men to be financially sound before embarking on marriage.
In her view, any man earning N50k (GHC 800) should not think of marriage adding that people shouldn’t compare it to those that married a long time ago earning such amount as the economy isn’t the same as then.
“A guy earning 50k should not have any business getting married. It’s just not proper. And anyone that would say back in the day some parents earned less and still managed to fend and send kids to school should ask themselves if the economy then was the same as it is now,” she tweeted.
