Arsenal fans have poured out in their numbers on social media to celebrate the defeat of Liverpool at the hands of relegation threatened side Watford today- February 29.
Nobody saw it coming- that Liverpool’s incredible start to the new season will tumble in a humiliating fashion, more so at the hands of a team literally battling for survival in the league. Yes- after 422 days and 45 matches, Liverpool have lost a game of Premier League football.
Another low point for the Reds is the fact that they failed to score for the first time in 37 league games. They had one shot of note in the first half, and only one on target across the 90 minutes.

But why are Arsenal fans happy when they are not even title contenders? The thing is Arsenal have the enviable record of going a full season without tasting a defeat, a record which has been etched in the annals of football worldwide.
The Arsenal team that did that record is called the invincibles, going 49 games unbeaten in 2004 to win the league. Liverpool were on the verge of doing that and it wasn’t something Arsenal wanted at all.
