Asamoah Gyan played his first Ghana Premier League match in 17 years following his return last month.

The legendary striker made his second debut on Friday night w hen he came on as a second-half substitute for Legon Cities against Medeama.

The match was also his first since December 2019.

Gyan joined Legon Cities on transfer deadline day after swerving ‘dream club’ Kotoko. But due to fitness issues he had to wait until matchday 3 of the ongoing season to feature for the Royals.

The former Black Stars captain played 20 minutes but couldn’t make a major impact as the game ended in a goalless draw.
