Gyan seems to have developed a penchant for sharing throwback photos and videos lately as he recently shared a rare throwback photo of himself during his days at Accra Academy senior high school.

The photo shared on his Instagram page showed a group of young footballers obviously assembled from the school’s football team who posed for the camera after a football game with another school.

Gyan who happens to be Africa’s record goalscorer at the World Cup shared the photo writing, ‘Who can identify me in this picture? we have come a long way. Accra Academy days.’

In a related development, a white man who’s affiliated with English club Tottenham Hotspur has sent a happy birthday message to Ghana legend, Asamoah Gyan after the former Black Stars skipper became a year older on November 22.

The man acknowledged his immense talent and his contribution to the game of football in the United Kingdom. Although Baby Jet as he’s affectionately called plied his trade for Sunderland during his English spell, he’s loved by all fans owing to his incredible goal celebrations.

Apparently, the fan sent his heartfelt message to Gyan when Ghanaian rapper Opanka stormed England to watch a premier league game after which he uploaded a video of his encounter with the man on Instagram.

“Asamoah Gyan, we wish you the happiest birthday, You are a legend in the UK. You are a legend in the World. You are our number one star. Happy Birthday, big love,” said the man in the video.
