Former Black Stars midfielder and Asamoah Gyan’s teammate, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has reacted to Asamoah Gyan’s declaration that he is training hard so that he can represent Ghana at the 2022 World Cup.

It could be recalled Gyan publicly made this known a few days ago and it has received massive recognition from Ghanaians.

Many of them are of the view that the prolific goalscorer has passed his peak so he should give the chance to the younger ones to also show their talents.

Reacting to the development, Agyemang Badu indicated that there is no way that Asamoah Gyan can be ready for the Mundial in just three months.

In his submission, he said;

“Training alone and training with a club is different. He knows the stage [World Cup] more than me. He has been there more than me.

He has been there three times, he has been the captain in 2014 so he knows the kind of stage it is.

Training alone two-and-half months before a tournament like this – for my experience I have when I have an injury for six months and came back it took me like three or four months before I got better. I don’t think he [Asamoah Gyan] will be ready for the World Cup.”
