Ashesi University have announced the suspension of lectures indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The institution indicated on its twitter handle on Sunday, that the action is a precautionary safety measure against the COVID-19.

“As a next step following increased urgency around precautionary COVIID-19 safety measures, we are pausing all classes until further notice. Students who can go home can do so from tomorrow,” the tweet read.

The school becomes the second after the University of Ghana also suspended lectures until further notice on Sunday.

This is after it was announced the number of coronavirus cases in the country has risen to six after four tested positives on Thursday and Friday.
