Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman has decided not to include Lionel Messi in the squad for Champions League match against Dynamo Kyiv on Tuesday.
The move by the coach is to give captain rest after his disappointing showing in the defeat against Atletico Madrid this past weekend. Midfielder Frenkie de Jong has also been left out of the squad.
Barcelona will secure qualification to the round of 16 if they overcome the Ukrainian champions.
Barcelona has been impressive in the Champions League compared to La Liga where they have been struggling.
They find themselves in 12th position with 11 points after eight games.
