Bola Tinubu Biography, Net Worth, Wife, and Children – Bola Tinubu, a Nigerian politician and accountant, served as Lagos State Governor from 1999 to 2007, as well as Senator for Lagos West during the brief Third Republic.

He was chosen as the All Progressives Congress candidate for the 2023 Nigerian presidential election, which will take place in June 2022.

In place of his long-held rumored presidential ambition, Tinubu has since gone on to play a significant role in the Buhari administration, supporting government policies and maintaining control of the internal party structure.

He supported Buhari’s reelection campaign in 2019, helping him defeat Atiku Abubakar of the PDP.

Following a party crisis in 2020 that resulted in the ouster of Tinubu ally and party chairman Adams Oshiomole, it is thought that the action was taken to undermine Tinubu’s chances of winning the presidency in 2023.

T inubu was born on March 29, 1952. His mother, Abibatu Mogaji, was a trader who rose to the position of Iyaloja for Lagos State.

Conflicting documents and statements from the politician himself led to disputes over Tinubu’s age, educational background, and name throughout his political career.

The main controversy was started by discrepancies in Tinubu’s certificates submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission, despite unproven rumors that he was actually born in modern-day Osun State under a different name to a different family.

According to paperwork provided before he ran for governor in 1999, Tinubu was born in 1954, not 1952.

When Tinubu’s presidential election paperwork was made public in 2022, it became clear that, in contrast to previous sworn documents and public statements, he had not specified which primary or secondary school he had attended. This sparked a new round of controversy.
