American politician Megan Dahle is now an assemblywoman for the state of California.

Dahle won a special election on June 4 to take Ted Gaines’ place in the State Senate after Gaines resigned after being elected to the California Board of Equalization.

“My experience as a small business owner and entrepreneur has helped me to understand the challenges and obstacles to owning and operating a business in our state. As small business owners, we are responsible for compliance, human resources, and finances, even as the burden of over-regulation has increased the cost of doing business in California.


Who is Megan Dahle?

Dahle formerly had a position on the Big Valley Joint Unified School Board before winning a seat in the State Assembly. In addition to owning a wheat farm, Megan Dahle once ran a plant nursery in Bieber.

In a special election for the California State Senate in 2019, her husband Brian won, vacating his State Assembly seat. Dahle defeated Democratic farmer Elizabeth Betancourt in the special election to fill the vacancy.
