The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has sanctioned the South African referee who ridiculously denied Ghana a vital win during the World Cup qualifier in Kampala, Uganda.

Referee Bennett has been has been sidelined by the Confederations of African Football (CAF) form officiating in the CAF Champions League.

Bennett was originally scheduled to be the centre man for the second-leg semifinal clash between Egypt’s Nadi Al Ahly and Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia at the Borg el Aram Stadium in Alexandria on October 22, but reports suggest he has been replaced with fellow South African referee Vitor Gomes for the crunch tie.

The referee was slammed by journalist all over world for his abysmal performance against the Black Stars, by disallowing two clean goals and failing to award a penalty when Aheampong was heckled in the penalty box.

Definitely further punishments await this disgraceful match official.
