Award-winning Ghanaian journalist, Blessed Godsbrain Smart who is known as Captain Smart has revealed the only gift he has ever received from a politician.
The controversial journalist made this known in a recent submission he made on his flagship TV show, ONUA MAAKYE aired on the popular Ghanaian TV station, ONUA TV.
According to him, there are some journalists who cannot criticize the government and politicians when they are wrong because they receive monthly stipends from them.
He vehemently trashed all claims that he might be on a politician’s payroll saying the only gift he has received from a politician is a cake from a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akomeah adding that the was even a cupcake which was shared between him and the politician.

In other news, a retired lecturer of the Hilla Limann Technical University has been shot dead in Wa in the Upper West Region over a land dispute.
The 64-year-old retired lecturer, identified as Stephen Mane was reportedly shot at close range on Thursday [March 17, 2022].
According to the police, the shot was from a pump-action gun.
The one who fired the shot has been arrested and is currently in police custody for murder and causing harm.
The suspect has reportedly told the police that he was under attack and fired to defend himself.
The police have identified him as Abdul Raman Yunusah, a 61-year-old businessman based in Wa.
