In the immediate erstwhile government, Mahama’s appointees were labelled babies with sharp teeth and with corrupt tendencies. This to some extend culminated in their defeat of the NDC in the 2016 general election.

To this end, Ghanaians have been waiting patiently to see the calibre of ministers he will appoint to serve in his government since he became president. Nana Akuffo Addo has released the second batch of ministers, whilst creatingadditional ministries.

The new ministries are: Ministry of Regional Re-organisation, Ministry of Railways Development and Ministry of Monitoring and Evaluation.

The Ministry of Regional Re-organisation will be headed by Dan Botwe, Joe Ghartey will head the Ministry of Railways and the ministry for Monitoring and Evaluation will be headed by Dr. Akoto Osei.

Mr Yaw Osarfo Marfo, a former minister of finance will occupy the newly created Senior Minister position. Another new ministry called National Security Ministry will be headed by Albert Kan Dapaah and Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources to be headed by Hon. Joseph Kofi Adda.

Paa Kwesei Nduom had said on numerous occasions that when he becomes the president he would do everything within his power to cut the size of miniseries to minimize cost. He also advised Nana Addo to the same now that he has won power but it seems Nana Addo has his own ideas.

These new ministries have set social media on fire with lots of people questioning its relevance. What do you think? You can share your views with us.
