Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly begged Manchester United to let him leave if they receive a good deal, and Chelsea supporters are eagerly awaiting his addition to the team.

You would recall that Chelsea’s new boss, Todd Boehly, met with Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, late in June to discuss a number of things, including the possibility of the Portuguese player joining the Blues.

Even if it was unclear whether Thomas Tuchel’s team is eager to incorporate the 37-year-old, the most recent development has raised hopes and expectations.

Cristiano Ronaldo is thought to have made the choice to quit United because he wants to play in the Champions League for the rest of his career.

After finishing sixth in the Premier League last season, Manchester United will participate in the Europa League for the 2022–23 season but the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is looking forward to participating in the Champions League.

Meanwhile, following the signing of a new deal on Friday, Mohamed Salah, an attacking midfielder for Liverpool, is now the highest-paid player at the club.

The Premier League club has a contract with the Egyptian superstar that keeps him there through 2025.

Mohamed Salah’s wage will be roughly £350,000 per week, which is above and beyond the Reds’ salary cap.

The Egyptian has made 254 appearances and netted 156 goals. He also assisted the squad in winning the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup last season.

Last year, Mohamed Salah was crowned the PFA Players’ Player of the Year as well as the FWA Footballer of the Year.
