Media General’s Takoradi based radio station Connect FM has launched this year’s Community Street Rap Battle at the Takoradi Mall.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s edition will be virtual and would be streamed live on Connect 97.1fm on facebook among others.
A total of 56 underground rappers, from four Zones Sekondi, Effia, Kwesimentsim and Takoradi will be offered the opportunity to exhibit their talents in the elimination stage where four(4) would be selected to represent each zone in eviction stages.
This year’s edition will run for ten weeks and will have some of Ghana’s well acclaimed beat makers and entertainment critics pass through as guest judges.
The competition has over the years uncovered amazing talents including Chichiz who recently placed second in the “Mentor Reloaded competition” and Ladsmid the winner of MTN Hitz maker 2019.
