Who Is Corey Graves? Meet Carmella Husband – Matthew Polinsky, born February 24, 1984, is an American wrestling color commentator and retired professional wrestler who currently works for WWE as a Raw and SmackDown commentator and analyst under the ring name Corey Graves.

He is a former WWE 24/7 Champion and former NXT Tag Team Champion with Adrian Neville. Polinsky is also well-known for his work on the independent circuit as Sterling James Keenan.

Carmella Biography

Carmella was born on October 23, 1987, in Spencer, Massachusetts. Her father, Paul Van Dale, was a professional wrestler and former mixed martial artist who served as a jobber for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now known as WWE) in the 1980s and 1990s, making her a second generation wrestler. Van Dale’s ancestors are both Italian and Dutch.

She was raised in Spencer, Massachusetts, and graduated from high school in 2006 under the direction of David Prouty.

She attended the prestigious University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and graduated in 2010. Van Dale supported the New England Patriots from 2008 to 2010.

The relationship between Carmella and William Morrissey, better known in the WWE as Big Cass, never materialized because they split up. After their relationship ended, she quickly reconnected with Corey Graves, a fellow WWE employee. On April 7, 2022, the two were married.

The son of a Hungarian couple, Corey Graves was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He went to college and earned a marketing degree.

The night before his debut in professional wrestling, Polinsky decided on his ring name. He chose “Sterling James Keenan” in honor of both Tool’s Maynard James Keenan and Sterling Sharpe, who was Polinsky’s childhood favorite American football player.

March 22, 2000 marked Keenan’s stage debut. Keenan participated in a number of promotions over the following few years, including Dory Funk Jr.’s “Funkin Conservatory,” where he faced off against wrestlers like Paul London, Adam Windsor, and Onyx.

By defeating the team of London and Windsor in 2002, Keenan and “Dreamachine” Chris Cage won the Funkin Conservatory Tag Team Championship.

Polinsky is described as a typical yinzer and frequently expresses pride in being from Pittsburgh on WWE programming, frequently mentioning his bar-hopping on Pittsburgh’s South Side and his favorite places to visit.

He did, however, admit that when he joined the WWE commentary team, he had to significantly tone down his natural Pittsburghese dialect, only to see fellow Pittsburgh native Pat McAfee succeed on WWE commentary as a result.

Shortly after, the post was removed, and it was revealed that the couple had already separated and were going through a divorce.

The ninth season of the reality series Total Divas later featured a profile of their relationship. Van Dale and Polinsky got engaged in October 2021. On April 7, 2022, the couple got married, and on October 31, 2022, his wife disclosed that she had an ectopic pregnancy that resulted in a miscarriage.
