Per statistics provided by the World Health Organisation (WHO), the number of Coronavirus cases in Africa is over 1.8 million.
The update was made via the official Twitter handle of the regional account, @WHOAFRO. The tweet reads;
“Over 1.8 million confirmed #COVID19 cases on the African continent – with more than 1.4 million recoveries & 43,000 deaths cumulatively.”
