The prolific goalscorer has officially become the first person to hit 200 million followers on Instagram.
He has surpassed American musician cum actress, Ariana Grande with a whopping 27 million followers.
In October 2018, Cristiano Ronaldo became the most followed person on Instagram in October 2018 after beating American musician and actress, Selena Gomez, who boasts 167 million followers.
He took to his Instagram handle to make the announcement while expressing his profound appreciation to his fans for their support.
In his post he posted a video with the caption;
“Wow 200 million!!! Thank you to each and every one of you for sharing this journey with me every day!!??❤️”
