Ebony’s father, Nana Poku Kwarteng, affectionately called Starboy Kwarteng by the media, has humbly appealed to policy makers to declare Feb. 16 Jollof Day in honour of his late daughter whose birthday falls on this day.

Starboy made the appeal whilst having a chat with ace broadcaster Akwasi Aboagye on Peace FM. Mr Kwarteng opined that it’s through an initiative like this that can sustain the huge legacy Ebony established despite her short stint in the music industry.
He maintained that it would be his greatest delight if Feb. 16 is somewhat made a holiday so fans and music lovers will come together to commemorate the day in honour of Ebony.
“Ebony was too precious. I’d like us to mark every day (16th February) as Ebony’s jollof day to celebrate her. Let’s do something to honor her memories,” he said.

The late Ebony Reigns who dies on Feb 8, 2018, turned 22 years yesterday-February 16, 2019, and to celebrate her posthumous birthday, Starboy Kwarteng organized a jollof party for all her music fans.
