Information coming up indicates that the Electoral Commission has suspended the Western Region pilot as the BVR for the anticipation of mass registration failed.
The machine is said to be used to capture the bio data of applicants have faced fault hence the officials who were selected for the pilot have packed the machine.
According to source, persons who were at the regional offices have left after doing their possible best to resume the piloting.
Official were said to have busily setting up the BVR machine in the morning around 7:00am while eight people were already there for the process.
As they try to switch on the machine it wasn’t and even tried different cables to power it but was not responding.
Deputy Western Regional Secretary of the NPP, Rex Jonfiah indicated that there were only one BVR machine with no backup and claimed he is yet to find out the reason why the exercise has been stopped.
