Casemiro, a midfielder for Manchester United, has claimed that manager Erik ten Hag is unique compared to other managers he has played with due to his “obsession with winning.”

Casemiro only moved from Real Madrid to United in the summer in a £70 million transfer.

After a mediocre start to his career at Old Trafford, and has started to flourish under Ten Hag.

Manchester United, on the other hand, has gone 8 games without a loss in all competitions. To compete for first place in Group E, and to play Real Sociedad on Thursday night in the Europa League.

After having played for Carlo Ancelotti, Zinedine Zidane, Luis Felipe Scolari, and Tite, Casemiro was quizzed what he has learned from Ten Hag prior to United’s Europa League match.

‘After being in football for quite a while, despite the fact I’m only 30, his [Ten Hag’s] obsession for winning is what surprised me the most,’ Casemiro said.

‘I think he’s got many strengths, we all know it’s a process and we’re growing together. We see he wants to win and his obsession for teaching and making us better to the millimetre is key.

‘That obsession with winning is something I’ve only seen with very few managers.’
