After allegedly shooting two fire officers in the Ashanti Region’s Offinso, the Asokore Mampong District Court remanded two people in police custody.

The two are accused of murder conspiracy, attempted murder, and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

The police, on the other hand, have launched a manhunt for a third suspect who is on the run.

The police investigations, according to the prosecution, show that there was a misunderstanding between the fire officers and the third suspect, who is still on the run.

The two people arrested, Banda Johnson and William Owusu, both acquaintances of the third suspect, later confronted and shot the fire officers, according to police.

Per what we gathered, one of the fire officers was shot in the leg, and the other was shot in the arm.

The fire officers who received gunshot wounds are being treated at the hospital. After arresting the suspects, police recovered two pistols that were allegedly used in the crime.

The suspects’ Land Rover vehicle was also impounded by police. The court then remanded the two accused persons who appeared before it, and they are scheduled to appear again on Thursday, November 3.

It was also revealed that all of the suspects in custody are ex-military personnel.
