The Recording Academy of the United States presents the Grammy Awards, also referred to as the Grammys, to honor exceptional accomplishments in the music business.

Many people consider them to be the most important and prestigious prizes in the global music industry.

Snoop Dogg – 16 Nominations

Rapper and actor Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., better known by his stage name Snoop Dogg, is from the United States. His first taste of stardom came in 1992 when he made a cameo on Dr. Dre’s first solo single, “Deep Cover,” and then on the latter album, The Chronic.

Snoop Dogg is nominated for 16 Grammy Awards in the pop, reggae, and rap categories. Astonishingly, Snoop Dogg has never won a Grammy because his musical prowess keeps pushing the genre ahead, even after 16 nominations.

His song “Nuthin’ But A “G” Thang” garnered him a nomination for Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group back in 1993. A year later, “Gin And Juice” earned him a nomination for Best Rap Solo Performance. Raising the bar for rap music, Snoop Dogg’s song “Beautiful” featuring Pharrell earned him awards for Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration.

His popular song “Drop It Like It’s Hot” garnered additional nominations in 2004. His song “Sexual Eruption” was nominated in 2008 for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Solo Performance.

Dierks Bentley – 15 Nominations

American singer-songwriter of country music Frederick Dierks Bentley. He became a Capitol Nashville artist in 2003 and released his self-titled debut album. It is certified Platinum in the US, as is its follow-up, Modern Day Drifter, from 2005. Long Trip Alone, his third album, is certified Gold.

Dierks Bentley has been nominated for fifteen Grammy awards, mostly in the country music genre. He continues to receive recognition, although he has yet to win a Grammy. He has also spent 17 years as a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

Bentley is unique in that he can sing rousing party anthems and melancholy tunes, and his fans value his range of abilities. Additionally, he has friendships with now-famous musicians like Kacey Musgraves and Chris Stapleton, who have even provided backup vocals for him.

Dierks Bentley has been in the music business for over 20 years, continuously producing new music and playing to packed houses around the nation.

Martina McBride – 14 Nominations

American singer-songwriter Martina Mariea McBride specializes in country music. Her soprano vocal range and her country pop repertoire are well-known. McBride moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1989 after being born in Sharon, Kansas.

Martina McBride has been nominated for 14 Grammy awards. Her contributions are diverse, yet she is not a Grammy winner herself. For her performance of “Independence Day” at the 37th Grammy Awards, Martina McBride received her first Grammy nomination.

In 2004, she made her Grammy stage debut with a performance of “Concrete Angel” at the 46th Grammy Awards. She served as the host of the 2017 Grammy Awards in Washington, D.C.’s On the Hill.

Katy Perry – 13 Nominations

American singer-songwriter Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson (better known by her stage name, Katy Perry) is also a popular TV personality. Known for her impact on contemporary pop music and her bohemian style, she was named the “Queen of Camp” by Rolling Stone and Vogue.

Thirteen Grammy nominations have been extended to Katy Perry, who has had songs including “Dark Horse.” She is well-known and has received nominations, but has not yet taken home a Grammy. Katy Perry received her first Grammy nomination in 2009 for her performance of “I Kissed A Girl.” That year, she sang this song at the Grammy Awards as well.

Katy Perry sang a rendition of “Yesterday” by The Beatles in 2014 on a commemorative TV show marking the 50th anniversary of the band’s debut on “The Ed Sullivan Show”.

Actress and singer Diana Ross is from the United States. She was the main vocalist for The Supremes, a vocal group that went on to become one of the best-selling girl groups in history and Motown’s most popular act of the 1960s.

Diana Ross has garnered 13 Grammy nominations since the 1970s; however, despite her legendary reputation and significant contributions, she has yet to win a Grammy as a solo artist. In 2015, the Grammy Museum featured Ross’s early work with the Supremes in an exhibit titled “Legends Of Motown: Celebrating The Supremes.” Ross also presented awards at the Grammy ceremony seven times.

Nicki Minaj – 12 Nominations

Rapper and singer Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, better known by her stage name Nicki Minaj, was born in Trinidad and now resides in the United States. Considered the “Queen of Rap” by many, she is renowned for her lively rap flow, musical variety, and altered personas.

With 12 Grammy nominations, Nicki Minaj has demonstrated her influence on pop and rap music. Following their collaboration on the song “My Chick Bad” with Ludacris, Nicki Minaj was nominated for her first Grammy Award, Best Rap Performance.

The next year, she performed on the Grammy stage for the first time, showcasing several songs including “Roman Holiday”.

Lana Del Rey – 11 Nominations

Elizabeth Woolridge Grant is an American singer-songwriter better known by her stage name, Lana Del Rey. Arctic Monkeys – 9 Nominations

English rock group Arctic Monkeys was founded in Sheffield on August 14, 2002. Lead singer Alex Turner, drummer Matt Helders, guitarist Jamie Cook, and bassist Nick O’Malley make up the ensemble.

Sia – 9 Nominations

Sia Kate Isobelle Furler is a singer-songwriter from Australia. She began her career as a vocalist with the acid jazz group Crisp in the mid-1990s, having been born and reared in Adelaide. Crisp’s first studio album, OnlySee, was released in Australia following her breakup in 1997.

Sia is a nine-time Grammy nominee, most known for her classics like “Chandelier”. In 2012, Sia was nominated for her first Grammy in the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration category for her song “Wild Ones” with Flo Rida. 2015 saw her perform “Chandelier” at the 57th Grammy Awards, which also featured dance performances by Maddie Ziegler and Kristen Wiig.

Blake Shelton – 8 Nominations

Blake Tollison Shelton is an American country music singer and television personality. In 2001, he made his debut with the single “Austin” from his first album, Blake Shelton. “Austin” spent five weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

Blake Shelton is nominated for eight Grammy Awards in the country music genre. Shelton became well-known thanks to country music radio. But when he was chosen to serve as a coach on the television show The Voice, his notoriety skyrocketed.
