Bautista’s association with professional baseball began when he inked a deal with the Miami Marlins on November 19, 2012, as an international free agent. He embarked on his professional journey with the Dominican Summer League Marlins in 2013, displaying promise with a 2.73 earned run average (ERA) and 17 strikeouts in 11 appearances. In 2014, Bautista encountered challenges, posting a 12.41 ERA with seven strikeouts in 12⅓ innings over eight games. Regrettably, he was released by the Marlins organization on January 15, 2015.
