The former captain of Ghana’s senior national soccer team, the Black Stars, Stephen Appiah has shared the values he has learned from sport since the beginning of his career to the point when he hung up his boots.

The renowned midfielder who played for some of the elite clubs in Europe including Juventus shared this in a recent post he made on his verified social media handle on the popular social media platform, Twitter.

Sharing a throwback photo of himself, he wrote;

“I started my career at a very early stage and the values I learnt from sports have been part of my life all these years.

Perseverance and hard work are key to my success today. Let me know some of the values you teach your child through sports.”
