American hiphop artiste, Daniel Hernandez, popularly known as Tekashi 6ix9ine has pushed for his immediate release from prison before coronavirus kills him.

6ix9ine was arrested and jailed in December for his involvement in the East Coast’s Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods and racketeering of guns. The rapper was slapped with nine charges which would have had him in jail for over 40 years but his agreement to give up on his crew members saw him make 2 years in prison. The rapper will be released on August, 2nd.

According to TMZ, the rapper’s lawyer Lance Lazzaro, has written a letter to the judge asking for his client’s health to be taken into consideration since he can easily contract the virus, looking at his health record. He outlined some underlyning health issues of 6ix9ine, which includes asthma, bronchitis and sinusitis disease which he was diagnosed with late last year.

He added further that the rapper has recently had shortness of breath, but prison officials didn’t allow him to see a doctor.

“Mr. [Daniel] Hernandez has been complaining to prison officials this week about shortness of breath, but apparently the warden of his facility will not allow Mr. Hernandez to go to the hospital despite the recommendation of the facility’s medial doctor that Mr. Hernandez be treated by a doctor at a hospital,”

He has asked for an immediate release of his client before he loses his life in prison. Tekashi is currently held at Queens Detention Centre waiting to be set free.
