In a village near Tuna in the Sawla-Tuna-Kaba district named Gbegu, a 54-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing a 27-year-old Fulani Herdsman.

The incident was reported to have occurred on Thursday, 17th June 2021, according to reports.

Per our findings, the suspect identified as Datorobary Bribuo explained the reason for his action by saying that the deceased brought his cattle to graze on his farm hence his decision to fire at him.

He was apprehended by some of the residents in the village after which the police were informed about it.

Upon the arrival of the Police, they were led by the suspect to a spot about 800 meters from his farm where they found the deceased Braimah Oumaro lifeless in a prone position with blood oozing from his head.

He was then taken away by the police for further investigation while the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Sawla District Hospital pending an autopsy.

Meanwhile, the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has cautioned its customers about fraudsters demanding bills through mobile money (Momo).

It has come to the notice of the company that some fraudsters are demanding bills from its customers through Momo in their name.

The company revealed in a statement that “these fraudsters call, send SMS or WhatsApp messages to unsuspecting customers, demanding payments for various services including service connection and electricity consumed, through mobile money (MOMO) transactions.”
