Hounorable Faustina Amissah, District Chief Executive of Obuasi East, has been captured on a WhatsApp screenshot for allegedly threatening a journalist, Yaw Opoku better known as ‘Nsiesiehene’ host of Obuasi-based Shaft Fm’s morning show.
“what is the meaning of this? What did I say this morning? You have started a fight with a person you don’t know,” these are the words sent by the DCE to the journalist after his producer tried booking her with the hosts phone on allegations levelled against her by former MP Hon. Edward Ennin.
Prior to the said threat, Hon. Edward Ennin had alleged that the DCE, her husband, and special assistant are involved in galamsey.
On Shaft FM’s attempt to call the DCE to make clarifications on the said allegations, she denied the interview and insisted the producer to call her husband and special assistant for any further clarification.
“my husband is an elderly man… he is matured, why don’t you call him, my special assistant why don’t you call that person, ask them, they are all Ghanaians and they have the right to speak for themselves,” she told the producer.
The DCE, chancing upon the social media post from NY Media on facebook with the caption, “GALAMSEY: MY HUSBAND AND SPECIAL AID ARE ALL MATURED SO YOU CAN CALL THEM FOR CLARIFICATION – OBUASI EAST DCE DENIES RADIO INTERVIEW AS SHE PUSHES BLAME ON HER HUSBAND AND SPECIAL AID,” sent a screenshot to the journalist with threatening words.
Meanwhile, the DCE has since denied been involved in galamsey after several allegations levelled against her.
