The match will serve as a preparation for the two teams before the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in Qatar in November and December of this year.

The Black Stars have three friendlies scheduled before this year’s tournament, including the match against the South American juggernauts.

Ghana will play Nicaragua in another friendly four days after the match against Brazil, followed by a match against Switzerland days before the World Cup.

In Group H during the group stage in Qatar, Ghana will compete against Portugal, South Korea, and Uruguay.

In other news, Mr. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, a former minister for youth and sports, has explained why Ghana’s performance at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil was so awful.

He claimed that the reason the Ghana Senior National Team, also known as the Black Stars, was unable to advance past the first round of the competition was because the players, led by Asamoah Gyan and Stephen Appiah, made money their top priority instead of playing for Ghana’s honor in Latin America.

After the players skipped training sessions and threatened to cancel their first game against the USA, Mr. Afriyie Ankrah admitted that he tried his best multiple times to persuade them to give it their all. However, they did not heed his pleas.
