The Ghana Football Association (GFA), in the wake of the coronavirus epidemic, has suspended all football actions in the country until further notice. The move was also in consonance with the directive from the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo.

In a live broadcast last night; March 15 2020, President Nana Akufo Addo said as part of measures put in place to curb the menace, there’s a temporal ban on public gatherings. Therefore schools have been closed down while formal g atherings at churches, funerals and other places have all been prohibited.

However, in a previous statement released last week, the GFA announced that while all competitions will go ahead as scheduled it will continue to liaise with Government, the Ghana Health Service and the Ministry of Health and follow all national health protocols on the matter.

The Government of Ghana announced new protocols on Sunday and consequently the GFA will immediately follow the new issued protocols and guidelines.
