His Excellency the president of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Sunday 20 September 2020, in his speech on Ghana Covid-19 updates, says beaches and clubs remain Closed until further notice.
Speaking from the Jubilee House, on the 17th count of updates on Covid-19 in Ghana, President Akufo-Addo said he will keep restrictions on Ghana’s beaches and clubs; that they will remain closed until further consultations from health associations say otherwise.
“Beaches, pubs, clubs, and cinemas remain closed until further notice.”
In his earlier submissions, president Akufo-Addo removed restrictions on contact sport activities.

Moreover, the president said all safety protocols to the prevention of Covid-19 must be adhered to by Ghanaians.
The reason, to keep beaches, pubs, clubs, and cinemas still closed is, because of social distancing; that he said, it’s one of the strong weapons to fighting the pandemic.
In so doing, President Akufo-Addo added that, wearing of face mask is also still mandatory.
