Prior to their first leg World Cup qualifying match against Nigeria on Friday, March 25, Parliament has expressed its support for the Black Stars of Ghana.

As a show of solidarity for the national team in their world cup qualifier versus Nigeria, the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Joseph Osei-Owusu, has encouraged all Members of Parliament to dress up in Black Stars-branded jerseys to the House on Friday.

Recall that the former Black Stars Coach Milovan Rajevac was fired after receiving heavy blacklash from Ghanaians from the appalling performance of the national team at the 2021 African Cup of Nations.

In an editorial published by MyJoyOnline and monitored by Ghgossip.com Kwesi Parker-Wilson, Parliamentary Correspondent for JoyNews revealed that the Deputy Speaker also urged the former players and Ghanaians to refrain from making demoralizing remarks about the squad but rather provide encouragement.

The first leg of the World Cup Qualifiers will hold on Friday, 25th March at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi where the Black Stars of Ghana will face the Eagles of Nigeria.
