Renowned Ghanaian journalist, Blessed Godsbrain Smart who is known as Captain Smart has predicted that by the end of May, Ghana will soon go to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a bailout.

The award-winning journalist made this prediction as well as other predictions on his popular show, ONUA MAAKYE.

During his submission, he indicated that the president and his cabinet had a meeting a few days ago and at the meeting, two things were discussed.

He stated that these two things are E-levy and Ghana going to the IMF for a bailout and he added that since the E-levy has been rejected, the only way out for Ghana is to go the IMF.

He buttressed his claim with a tweet made by Ghanaian politician and member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Otchere-Darko.

In other news, the Drunkards Association of Ghana with immediate effect boycotted all alcoholic beverages from GIHOC distilleries Company over the recent comment made by the managing director.

This comes after a Kumasi-based radio station Nyhira FM share a post where the managing director of GIHOC distilleries said that prices of their alcoholic beverages have been increased and anyone who cannot afford should drink water.

It appears that the consumers of alcoholic beverages have lost their cool over the comment made by the manager of GIHOC. In a rebuttal, Drunkards Association protested against the MD and the company’s products. They have called on the MD to render an apology to all drinkers and patronizers of their products.

In a statement signed by the President of the Association, Moses Onyah (Dry bone), the group urged its members across the country to choose other alcoholic products over those from the GIHOC brand.
