A Ghanaian Bolt driver identified as Philip Mensah has won the admiration of Ghanaians after he returned an amount of GHc30,000 he found in his car after a passenger mistakenly left it after alighting.

Speaking with Adom News, the 32-year-old driver said that he realized that the envlope left in his car contained a huge amount of money approximately ranging from GHc5,000 to GHc7,000 but when he called the passenger through the number the latter used to chatter the ride, he was told the envlope contained an amount of GHc30,000.

Well, he did not hesitate to ask the passenger for directions to return the money back to him. Philip stated that he didn’t want to keep the money until the next morning, hence he had to try his possible best to return the money around 2 AM in the morning.

Explaining why he decided to return the money instead of keeping it since that is what everyone would do, Philip stated that he has lived a life without jealousy and wanting what belongs to another man.

According to him, ad advice given to him by his late elder brother has been his way of life for the past 4-5 years now. The Good Samaritan said that his elder brother advised him that what belongs to him belongs to him but he should never venture to own what belongs to another man.

He advised his fellow Bolt drivers that even though there’s currently economic hardship and other issues facing citizens in the country, he would prefer for everyone to stay truth to themselves by returning items that does not belong to them and focus on what belongs to them for God to bless their hard work.
