It has been a really good year for young Ghanaian striker, Felix Afena-Gyan and it seems it will be continuing as he has reportedly penned down a new four-year deal with his club, AS Roma.

This was made by the Italian Serie A outfit and it was further revealed that this deal will keep the youngster at the Stadio Olimpico till 2026.

Speaking after signing the deal, Afena-Gyan said;

“I am really pleased to have signed this contract: ever since I arrived at this club my aim was to reach the first team and since I did that my life has changed a lot.

Now I need to just concentrate on continuing to improve, I am motivated to start the new season in the best possible way.”

Additionally, the General Manager of the club, Tiago Pinto also had some words to say and in his submission, he indicated that the new deal will be an opportunity for the Ghanaian to continue his renowned and massive development at the club.

In his submission, he also said;

“Felix has vast room for improvement and has the opportunity to make the most of that potential under the guidance of Jose Mourinho, a coach who is pivotal to the development of our young players.

This contract extension also represents another demonstration of how the link between our first-team squad and our academy setup continues to get stronger.”
