Following the killing of Mfantseman MP Ekow Quansah Hayford most parliamentarian’s are calling on the state to provide them with personal securities and guard.

One of those is MP for Ayensuano , Samuel Ayeh-Paye , according to the MP even if the police and military are not enough ,special training can be given to fire service personnels to protect them.

Hon Samuel Ayeh-Paye added  that it is important that the Speaker of Parliament and the government consider the appeal of MPs for self-protection by giving personal security to legislators.

“In the UK I learned the Queen is being protected by the Fire Service. If we don’t have enough policemen, they can select 275 firemen and give them special training and ammunition handling and let them come and protect us”,he noted in an interview with Citi FM monitored by ghgossip.com
